HANDLING AND RESTRAINT (cont)
Restrain a cat for examination or an injection by holding the loose skin of the back of the neck and rump. The cat is then firmly - but gently - held on the table.
Cats can be held in lateral recumbency on a table by holding all four legs while firmly holding the head on the table with the forearm. Use a tranquilizer for difficult or prolonged procedures.
