Flooring should be constructed of materials that provide non-slip footing for the goats. Vinyl coated metal or fiberglass slat floors are commonly used. Raised flooring permits the feces and urine to drop through. The surface underneath can then be washed down with minimal wetting of the animal. A rough floor texture provides more steady footing and helps keep hoof growth in check.
