Some other relatively common abnormalities and diseases of laboratory mice include -
- Mouse Hepatitis Virus (MHV) – caused by a virus with clinical signs of diarrhea and sometimes death in young animals.
- Ectromelia or Mouse Pox – caused by a virus with clinical signs of skin lesions and death.
- Ectoparasites - usually mites with clinical signs of dermatitis and scratching
- Endoparasites - usually evidenced by anemia, diarrhea or weight loss
