NUTRITION
Swine, especially commercial breeds, experience rapid weight gain from birth to sexual maturity at 4-6 months of age. A domestic breed may grow from 1 lb at birth to 240 lbs or more in that time period. The main difference between miniswine and commercial breeds is that they have a less rapid weight and size gain. There are differences between breeds of miniature swine, and their weight at sexual maturity may range from 60-100 lbs.
