NUTRITION
Commercial laboratory feed is available in several varieties. One or two pounds of pellets or grain are needed for adult animals. A good rule of thumb is to provide one to five percent dry weight equivalent of body weight daily per animal. Attention to the calcium and phosphorus is crucial - especially in male goats. Blockage with urinary calculi can result from high phosphorus levels in some feeds. The calcium to phosphorus ratio should be approximately 2:1.
