If goats are procured from reliable vendors, parasites and diseases are not generally a major problem. A health certificate from an accredited veterinarian may be required if animals are delivered via interstate transportation. The State's Veterinarian's Office from your state and the state of origin should be consulted for specific requirements prior to arrangement of transportation. Some diseases of goats such as brucellosis and tuberculosis may be reportable to the appropriate State agencies.
