INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this course is to provide an
orientation for new members of an Institutional Animal Care and
Use Committee (IACUC) and inform research personnel about
functions and responsibilities of an IACUC. The course generally
follows a recommended syllabus for orientation training from the
publication entitled "Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
Guidebook"
that is available from the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare
(OLAW). You should review this publication for more detailed
information about functions and responsibilities of an
IACUC.
