NUTRITION
You should feed rabbits a high quality commercial feed. It is important that rabbits have pelleted feed because they do not eat powdered or ground diets well. Indeed they may starve if given only a powdered or ground diet.
Rabbits may be limit fed with 120 - 145 grams of pelleted food to maintain their weight below a chosen maximum. This will keep the rabbit healthier and help control obesity in animals that are maintained for long periods.
Changing brands or formulas of rabbit feed should be done gradually by mixing the old feed with the new feed over a period of 5 - 7 days. This is very important for young rabbits.
